Arrange truck hire for a collection, delivery or equipment move in Pretoria with Johannesburg Truck and Crane Hire. We serve Pretoria as part of our local, national and cross-border transport services. Tell us where the load starts and ends so we can quote for the full journey.
Some of our 8-ton trucks have tail lifts. Request this when enquiring; the team will confirm a suitable vehicle and availability rather than assume every truck has one.
Provide the exact addresses for both ends of the journey, including any additional stops. For a move between Johannesburg and Pretoria, specify the direction of travel and whether a return trip is needed. For deliveries to a business park, construction site or residential property, include entry requirements, receiving hours and any vehicle access restrictions.
Tell us whether loading equipment is available at each address. If packing, loading, lifting or rigging is needed, include it in the enquiry so the job can be scoped before booking.
Use our truck hire rates as a starting point, then request a quote for your route and vehicle. The quote should confirm the applicable distance, hire duration, driver and any additional handling requirements. The listed rates are not a fixed price for every Pretoria journey.
For a lifting job, explore mobile cranes from 8 to 500 tons. Crane suitability and availability must be confirmed for the load and site. For relocation work, see our machine moving and rigging services. Tell us if permits or escorts need to be included in an abnormal-load move.
Unsure which truck to choose? Send your load details with the enquiry and ask the team to confirm an appropriate option.
Answers to help you plan
Yes. Send both addresses, the cargo details, loading needs and preferred date. We will assess the vehicle and journey and confirm availability. Include the actual sites rather than only the two city names so access and travel can be allowed for.
Check the entrance, turning space, overhead clearance and permitted delivery hours with the site contact. Let us know about security bookings and unloading arrangements. These details help determine whether the proposed vehicle can reach the intended loading point.
Include the item weight, dimensions and required placement, along with photos of the unloading area. We can assess transport and lifting together. Crane suitability depends on reach and site conditions as well as the weight of the load.
Provide the delivery frequency, addresses, approximate load per trip and receiving windows. Mention whether loads or destinations change during the schedule. The team can then confirm availability and quote for the planned work.
Tell us what needs moving, where it needs to go and what access is like. We can help you work out the next step.
