NATIONWIDE TRANSPORT GUIDE
Nationwide truck transport across South Africa
Plan a South African collection, delivery or equipment movement with the full route and handling scope assessed together.
Provinces: Gauteng, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Free State, North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, Northern Cape

START WITH THE BRIEF
The load. The route.
The site details.
Share every collection, delivery and additional stop so the complete South African journey and its handling requirements can be assessed.
What needs moving?
Item weights, dimensions, quantities and photographs. Separate the total payload from any individual lifting requirement.
Where and when?
Full collection and delivery addresses, extra stops, dates, receiving hours and site contact details.
How will it be loaded?
Forklifts, cranes or loading bays at each end, plus gate widths, turning space and overhead restrictions.
One transport brief for the complete South African journey
JTC accepts nationwide truck transport enquiries across South Africa. Start with the actual collection and delivery addresses, the goods and the work needed at both ends. Whether the journey starts in Gauteng or includes a collection elsewhere, the team needs the complete route before availability and pricing can be confirmed.
Coverage enquiries include Gauteng, Western Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Free State, North West, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and Northern Cape. These are South Africa’s nine provinces, not a claim that a JTC branch or a vehicle is permanently stationed in each destination.
Match the transport body to the prepared cargo
For suitable machinery, steelwork and open-deck loads, compare the 20-ton flatbed and 30-ton flatbed without a crane. Send individual weights and dimensions, transport supports, photographs and items that cannot be stacked.
For suitable packaged goods, enquire about the 20-ton closed truck with outside package measurements and loading facilities. Discuss packing and protection requirements with the complete job instead of assuming they follow from a vehicle category.
Include crane offloading, rigging or specialist cargo
If loading or delivery needs lifting, compare the 20-ton flatbed with crane and 30-ton flatbed with crane. Each lift requires its weight, reach, setup access and placement position to be assessed independently of carrying payload.
Request machine moving and rigging when equipment must continue through the premises to a final position. For unusually sized cargo, send the full dimensions through abnormal-load transport so the proposed route and equipment can be assessed.
Use a journey guide for the destination
Our route guides cover Cape Town, Durban, Gqeberha / Port Elizabeth, East London, Bloemfontein and Kimberley.
Other guides cover Polokwane, Mbombela / Nelspruit, Rustenburg, Richards Bay, eMalahleni / Witbank and George. If your town is not listed, send its actual address for assessment.
Request the whole-journey price
Include preferred dates, receiving windows, additional stops, any return cargo and the equipment available at each site. Identify preparation or installation tasks that another contractor must complete before transport can begin or finish.
The published rates explain listed vehicle charges; your written quote confirms the complete route, time, handling, availability and agreed charges. For Namibia, Lesotho, Botswana or Mozambique, use the cross-border transport page so the destination and border-related responsibilities are addressed.

Answers to help you plan
Nationwide: questions
Does nationwide coverage include all nine South African provinces?
JTC accepts transport enquiries across South Africa’s nine provinces. Give the actual origin, destination, load and handling requirements; the team confirms the route, vehicle suitability, availability and complete scope for the particular job.
Can I request transport from outside Gauteng back to Gauteng?
Yes. Provide the collection and delivery addresses, item list, readiness and receiving arrangements. Include any outward delivery, additional stop or return equipment so the complete movement can be assessed.
Do nationwide jobs use a standard daily truck price?
The published vehicle charges are a starting point. A nationwide quotation must address the full route, time, loading, offloading, additional stops and return arrangements, with the agreed charges confirmed in writing.
Can nationwide equipment transport include final machinery placement?
Request that stage explicitly and supply the site access, internal route and final position. Road transport, crane offloading and machinery positioning are assessed as separate parts of the agreed scope.
