The advertised day rate is the base vehicle hire charge, not the total job price. All advertised rates exclude VAT, fuel, tollgate, driver and kilometre charges. Compulsory insurance costs R500 per day extra. Crane-truck loading, offloading and rigging are also excluded and quoted for your job.

The chargeable distance includes travel to collect your load and the return journey to our depot, plus any agreed stops. It is not just the distance between loading and offloading.
Minimum chargeable distance: 100 km. If the full depot-to-depot route is shorter than 100 km, the kilometre charge is based on 100 km. Longer routes are charged on the full depot-to-depot distance.
Distance example: 20 km from depot to collection + 30 km to delivery + 25 km back to depot = 75 km travelled. The 100 km minimum applies. A 140 km depot-to-depot route is charged at 140 km.
Your written quote brings the costs together: base vehicle hire + chargeable kilometres + driver + fuel + compulsory insurance at R500 per day, plus any agreed crane loading, offloading, rigging, tolls or other services, and VAT. Ask us to confirm the full amount and inclusions before booking.

The kilometre charge is based on a minimum of 100 km, even when the complete depot-to-depot route is shorter. For example, 20 km to collection, 30 km to delivery and 25 km back totals 75 km, so the kilometre charge uses 100 km. This is separate from base hire, driver, fuel and other quoted charges.
