Answers to help you plan
Truck hire is quoted around the vehicle, route, time and handling required. Our published rates are estimates, not an all-inclusive total for every journey. Send your collection and delivery addresses, load details and dates so Johannesburg Truck and Crane Hire can quote for the actual job.
Start with cargo weight, dimensions and loading method. Closed panelvan trucks suit goods needing an enclosed body; flatbeds provide an open deck; crane trucks combine transport with lifting. Share photos and measurements and we can help assess the vehicle before you book.
Send the cargo description, total weight, largest item dimensions, collection and delivery addresses, preferred date and loading arrangements at both ends. Mention stairs, narrow entrances, restricted receiving hours, extra stops and any lifting or packing you need included.
Check the written quote for the driver, crew and loading arrangements included in your job. A vehicle rate alone should not be treated as confirmation of loading labour, a forklift or a crane. Tell us what assistance is needed at collection and delivery so it can be allowed for.
We accept enquiries for individual journeys and repeat deliveries. Provide the number of loads, delivery sequence, intended dates and receiving hours. We will confirm the vehicle availability and hire terms for the schedule rather than assuming one day rate covers every trip.
You can start an enquiry with photos, measurements and any supplier or manufacturer information. Tell us that the weight is unknown. Reliable load information will be needed before vehicle suitability and any lifting arrangements can be confirmed.
Tell us what needs moving, where it needs to go and what access is like. We can help you work out the next step.
