Compare flatbed truck hire in Johannesburg for machinery, equipment and construction materials. Choose between a flatbed for transport and a flatbed with a crane where loading or offloading is also needed. Share your cargo weight and dimensions, route and loading arrangements at both sites so we can assess a suitable vehicle. A truck's carrying capacity does not describe its crane's lifting capacity; lifting needs a separate assessment of the load, reach and site access.
Compare truck hire rates and additional charges, then request a flatbed transport quote with your load and route details. For oversized cargo, see our abnormal-load transport service.

Answers to help you plan
A flatbed has an open load deck and may suit machinery, equipment, steelwork and other cargo needing open access. The load must still be assessed for dimensions, weight, support and securing. Tell us if weather protection is required.
An open deck can allow side or overhead loading where the site and equipment permit it. Share the forklift or crane arrangements at collection and delivery. The loading method must be compatible with the item, vehicle and available space.
No. Our listings distinguish flatbeds from flatbeds with cranes. If a crane is needed, provide the load weight and intended placement so its lifting requirement can be assessed; choosing an open-deck truck alone does not include lifting equipment.
Do not assume an overhanging item can travel on a standard arrangement. Send the full load dimensions for assessment of the loaded vehicle and route. An oversized item may need a different trailer or abnormal-load planning.
Provide the cargo weight and dimensions, photographs, collection and delivery addresses and the loading method at each end. Mention awkward shapes, support points, weather protection and any lifting or positioning required.
Tell us what needs moving, where it needs to go and what access is like. We can help you work out the next step.
